I think I semi-invented one lol. At least that was what I was thinking yesterday. So in the previous post you can read about the necessity of bringing your PhD to East Asia and then sucking each other off. Or essentially just participating in the zoo where overrated people tell each other how much they like characters and hangul and hiragana and the likes (obviously slightly more sophisticated than just that, but you get the point).
Twelve years ago I called it being a monkey in the zoo, and if I remember correctly I wrote it down in the context of I don’t want to be a monkey in the zoo.
It means being watched and applauded at while performing your few tricks (saying that you love characters for example), while actually you’re just a clown doing what the others want.
Don’t get me wrong, life is much easier if you are a monkey in the zoo, but then again, my experiences in the Dutch education system have been so fantastic that it’s not a hard claim to make. In reality I would never have gotten that PhD anyway.
I would have ended in psychiatry.
Oh wait, that’s what I’m in now as well.
Errrrr…..
Anyway, my advice to you: Go Be A Monkey In The Zoo!
Right, 君穎?
