Injured

When I departed for my usual (almost) daily sport routine I just felt after a some moments of pedaling that today was not going to be the best day, so I decided to go for a shorter ride (and succeeded in doing so).

I did get injured though. Strong wind, 117kg, beach and 3.5-4km of running probably were a bit too much. When I stepped off my bike my left calve (=kuit, that’s what it’s called right?) suddenly started to hurt like I don’t know what. It resembles cramps, but it’s different. It feels like it’s not going to heal overnight 🙁

A pity, things were going really well. I already lost 10kg compared to what (I think) was my peak weight. I’ve not even been starving myself or so. I don’t know. BOOM. 10kg gone.

I knew this would be a tough day. It was a tough day on the bike. I didn’t expect to get injured out of the blue though, but I’m 42 now. Old and washed up. A product of destruction by scientific greatness. I guess one just has to be more careful at this advanced age 😛

I could go on a rant about how I know myself better than all those geniuses out there, but I guess I will refrain from that one for a change. You all know what I think of your genius.

And if you don’t: I can recommend grade three reading classes. They’re exceptionally good.

But hopefully this heals soon so I can get back on the losing weight track.
